Hawaiian Community Development Board (HCDB) is a non-profit established in 2000 with the express mission of supporting and promoting housing, community, and economic development projects that benefit families living in the Hawaiian Home Lands communities throughout the state of Hawaii. Under the leadership of Kali Watson, a former Director of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) and with the support and guidance of a dedicated and knowledgeable Board of Directors of all Native Hawaiians primarily from homesteading communities , HCDB has developed an aggressive plan to provide some exciting opportunities in the various homestead areas.

The team assembled by HCDB to develop projects in the Hawaiian Home Lands communities consists of highly qualified, experienced professionals with a mutual commitment to our Hawaiin people.

Kali WatsonAs an attorney, Kali has been at the forefront of Hawaiian issues for over 40 years and his background also includes work at the 1978 State Constitutional Convention, Legal Counsel for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Deputy Attorney General of the State of Hawaii, Chairman of the Hawaiian Homes Commission, Chairman of Hawaii State Housing Directors and Administrators, and the 1999 O’o Award Winner for the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce.
